ArtKeeper: Dani Cabs

Daniel Cabrera (Dani Cabs) is a multi-dimensional fun facilitator who plays with photo/video, dance, site activation, interactive/physical theatre and clowning to explore and strengthen relationships within community.

Dani believes that play is essential for healthy community and relationships, being the essential building block for our societies many millennia ago.

#The Project

While employed by ArtKeeper, Dani will develop a sequel to his 2016 solo clown show Poncho Orange. Poncho is Dani’s passionate, playful, and absurd alter ego, a Latino buffoon whose goal is to bring everyone together through play, and inspired in part by Dani’s own Latino cultural heritage.

Dani will finish his residency with a new show, ready to hit the stage. His process of devising includes research and working in the studio using a variety of performance techniques, including physical comedy, clowning, and spoken word, underpinned by a philosophy that we can build stronger communities through play.
